QURAN

Qaida:

Iqra Tajweedi Qaida is taught as an essential part of the Early Years Islamic and Quranic education program from Pre-Nursery to Class Prep, covering children between 3 to 5 years of age.

The program introduces young learners to the Arabic alphabet, correct pronunciation of Arabic letters, basic Tajweedi rules, and early Quranic reading skills through an age-appropriate and progressive approach. At this stage, the teaching methodology focuses on developing familiarity with the Arabic language and creating a strong foundation for future Nazra and Hifz-ul-Quran.

The program uses Iqra Tajweedi Qaida as the core learning resource and follows a gradual progression according to the developmental level and learning capacity of each age group. Teachers introduce concepts through repetition, oral practice, listening activities, visual recognition, guided reading, and regular individual practice.

Students learn to:

  • Recognise and identify Arabic letters.
  • Differentiate between similar Arabic sounds and letters.
  • Pronounce letters correctly according to their Makharij.
  • Recognise and read letters with different movements and sounds.
  • Develop an understanding of basic Tajweedi concepts in a simple and age-appropriate manner.
  • Read letters, words, and short combinations with increasing confidence and fluency.
  • Develop listening, repetition, and memorization skills.
  • Build readiness for the next stage of Nazra and Quranic education

Teachers continuously observe and assess each child’s progress and provide additional support and repetition wherever required. The learning pace remains flexible and child-centred, ensuring that students develop understanding and confidence rather than simply completing the Qaida at a fixed speed.

Through this structured approach, Iqra Tajweedi Qaida provides a strong foundation for correct Quranic recitation and helps children develop an early connection with the Holy Quran. The program aims to ensure that every child progresses gradually with confidence, accuracy, interest, and love for Quranic learning.

Nazra:

After successfully completing the Qaida program, children progress to Grade 1, where they begin learning Nazra Quran with Tajweed.

At this stage, students apply the foundational skills developed through Qaida, including recognition of Arabic letters, correct pronunciation and articulation (Makharij), joining of letters, reading with Harakaat, and basic Tajweedi rules.

The Nazra program focuses on enabling students to:

  • Read the Holy Quran fluently and confidently.
  • Apply the rules of Tajweed while reciting.
  • Improve the correct pronunciation and articulation of Arabic letters.
  • Develop accuracy in stopping, pausing and continuing during recitation.
  • Build a strong foundation for further Quranic learning, including Hifz-ul-Quran.

The aim is not simply for children to be able to read the Quran, but to ensure that they develop the ability to recite confidently and with proper Tajweed.

Hifz ul Quran:

The Hifz-ul-Quran Program begins from Class 2 and follows a structured, progressive plan designed to enable students to complete the memorization of the Holy Quran with accuracy, consistency and strong retention.

Class-wise Hifz Targets

  • Class 2: Memorization of 5 Paras
  • Grade 3: Memorization of 9 Paras
  • Grade 4: Memorization of 9 Paras
  • Grade 5: Memorization of the remaining 7 Paras, completing all 30 Paras of the Holy Quran
  • Class 6: Dedicated primarily to comprehensive revision and strengthening of the complete Hifz

Throughout the program, equal emphasis is placed on new memorization (Sabaq), recent revision (Sabqi), and long-term revision (Manzil) to ensure that students retain what they have memorized and recite with accuracy and confidence.

After completing the memorization of the entire Holy Quran, students undergo two complete cycles of revision to strengthen their retention and ensure fluency and accuracy in their recitation.

Once the Quran has been revised twice after the completion of Hifz, students are prepared to appear in the examination conducted by Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan.

The program aims not only to enable students to memorise the Holy Quran but also to develop strong retention, correct Tajweed, disciplined revision habits and a lifelong connection with the Book of Allah.

Academic Programme

The Academic Programme from Grade 1 to Grade 6 is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in essential academic skills while progressing systematically according to their age, developmental stage and learning needs. The core subjects of English, Urdu and Mathematics focus on developing literacy, communication, comprehension, reasoning, problem-solving and independent learning skills.

English

The English curriculum focuses on developing students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

From Grade 1 onwards, students build a strong foundation in phonics, vocabulary, sentence construction and reading fluency. As they progress through the grades, greater emphasis is placed on reading comprehension, grammar, creative and functional writing, oral communication and critical thinking.

By Grade 6, students are expected to communicate confidently in English, comprehend age-appropriate texts, express their ideas effectively in writing and apply grammatical concepts accurately.
